Richard
Dean Cherry of Del City lost his battle with cancer on
Wednesday, April 22, 2009. He was 72 years of age.
He is survived by his wife Tonita Jean Cherry, five children,
Richard David Wise and wife Mary Wise of Tulsa, OK, Debbie Jean
Cogle and husband Byron of Pryor, OK, Darryl Dean Cherry and
wife Vicky Cherry of Del City, OK, Brenda Michelle Aylor of
Moore, OK, Sean Curtiss Cherry and wife Nicky Cherry of Queen
Creek, AZ. He was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren,
Sheena Tanksley and husband Zach Tanksley of Adair, OK, Lynse
Goodman and husband Scott Goodman of Pryor, OK, Jerod Eby of
Pryor, OK, Mali Aylor of Moore, OK, Holly Cherry of Del City,
OK, Brianna, Monique, Bianca, Madyson Portas Cherry, and Jacob
Cherry of Queens Creek, AZ. Richard was also blessed with five
great grandchildren, Zoe, Zyla, and Gaije Tanksley, Sadie Ann
Goodman, and Traven Toma Aylor. Richard leaves behind one
beloved brother, David Cherry of Anthony, KS, and two sisters,
Betty Wade of Douglass, KS, and Pat Meier of Wichita, KS, and
many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Minnie
Cherry. Services will be 10am Saturday in the Candlewood Chapel
at Ford Funeral Service.
