Yetta Clark, 71, of OKC, passed away on August 19, 2004 after
a lengthy battle with cancer. Yetta was born on September 12,
1932 in Choctaw to
Cotton and Cis Konechney . She graduated from Choctaw High
School in 1950.
Yetta married Ralph "Slim" Clark on February 11, 1952. She
worked as a homemaker and assisted Slim with his painting
business for more than 25 years. Yetta attended Southern Hills
Baptist Church and worked in the children's department for many
years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cotton and Cis
Konechney and sister, Wanda Jo Konechney .
She is survived by her husband Slim; daughter Denice and
husband Steve Wheeler; son Mark and wife Teresa Clark; son John
and wife Linda Clark; brother Gary and wife Shirley Konechney ;
8 grandchildren, Stephanie, Paul, Timmy, Stephen, Austin,
Lauren, Trevor and Ross; and one great grandson on the way.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 23 at
Southern Hills Baptist Church (in the red chapel) at 8601 S.
Penn, with burial to follow at
Resthaven Memory
Gardens. Branstetter - Merritt Funeral Home.

Ralph "Slim" Clark of Oklahoma City, passed away on December
1, 2008, at the age of 77. Slim was born on August 29, 1931, in
Oklahoma City, to Howard M. and Lillie Clark. He graduated from
Capitol Hill High School in 1950. Slim married Yetta Konechney
on February 11, 1952. He worked for the Oklahoma City Fire
Department from 1951-1975 and achieved the rank of Captain. He
was also a paint contractor for more than 30 years. Slim
attended Southern Hills Baptist Church and enjoyed all his
friends in the "Men's only" class.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard M. and Lillie
Clark, his wife, Yetta, and his brother, Howard W. Clark.
Slim is survived by his three children, daughter, Denice
Wheeler and husband, Steve, son, Mark Clark and wife, Teresa,
son, John Clark and wife, Linda; eight grandchildren, Stephanie,
Paul, Timmy, Stephen, Austin, Lauren, Trevor, Ross; and one
great grandson, Major.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, December
4, at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S. Penn with burial to
follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
