Imogene
"Jean" Cobb was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord &
Savior on Jan. 15, 2009. She was born July 7, 1925 in Johnson
County, Arkansas, to Rev. G.W. and Edna Hardcastle. Jean
graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City and attended
the University of Tulsa. On October 28, 1944, Jean married the
love of her life, Harrison Cobb , with whom she shared 60 years
of marriage and the raising of their daughters. Jean embraced
life & others with a joyful servant heart. From her youth, she
volunteered in church and her community. She was a longtime
member of Capitol Hill Assembly of God, where she served as a
Sunday School teacher. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed reading,
traveling, sewing, OU football, ORU basketball, and snow skiing.
Jean's most precious moments were those surrounded by her family
and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant
son, husband, brother GW, II, and sister Margarette. She leaves
cherished memories with her daughters: Cathy & husband, Forrest
White of OKC; Christi & husband, Steve Powell; and Cindy &
husband, Randy LeBlanc, all of Edmond, OK; Grandchildren: Mark &
Shelly White, Josh & Jennifer White, Steven & Elizabeth Powell,
Nicole & Clint Rule, Blake & Stephanie LeBlanc, & Jessica
LeBlanc; Great Grandchildren: Abby & Logan White, Annabel &
Elijah White, & William Powell; and her brother, Bob. Viewing
hours are from 4-8 PM today, 12 Noon - 8 PM Sunday, & 4-8 PM
Monday, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM at the
funeral home. Services to celebrate her life will be held 2:00
PM Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at Capitol Hill Assembly of God, 2400
SW 74th St., Oklahoma City.
