Daily Oklahoman Oklahoma City, Oklahoma May 13, 1911 page 3 Girl Grieves To Death Retta Coleman, 21 years old, daughter of P. Coleman, a farmer living five miles south of the city, was found dead in her bed Friday morning, when members of the family went to arouse her. All windows and the door of the room were closed. The girl is said to have mourned over the approaching marriage of a brother, with whom she had been a playmate since childhood and it is thought by the family that grief may have caused her sudden death. Justice Sam Bartell conducted an examination. He pronounced the death of the girl as from an unknown cause and without foul play. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph's cathedral. Contributed by Marti Graham, October 2003. Information posted as courtesy to researchers.
