Benny R
Collins, 70, formerly of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on
Saturday, January 10, 2009, while in the company of family
members and following an extended illness at Integris Grove
General Hospital in Grove, OK. Benny was born in Oklahoma City,
OK on April 12, 1938, the son of the late Roy and Jessie
Collins. He graduated from Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma
City, OK.
Benny married Margaret Joan Kendea in Oklahoma City, OK on
November 21, 1958. Benny served in the automotive repair
industry until his retirement from Bob Howard Honda in 2000. He
enjoyed cars, golfing, and spending time with his family. Benny
was a wonderful husband, father and brother. He was a friend and
blessing to everyone he came in contact with. Benny was a member
of Elk River Baptist Church in Grove, OK.
Benny was preceded in death by both of his parents.
Benny is survived by his wife, Margaret Collins, of the home
two sons, Eric and wife Daneen Collins and Vince Collins and one
daughter, Cheryl and husband Keith Lozier of Grove, OK. He is
also survived by four grandchildren, Brandi Pierce, Zach Lozier,
Tiffney Finley & Erica Collins and six great-grandchildren,
Adlee, Canaan, Malachi Pierce, and Zoey, Teagan, and Hudson
Finley.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009
at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Jay, OK. The Rev. Daniel
Newton will officiate. Services entrusted to Funeral Services of
Grand Lake, Grove, OK.
