Joy Arlene Cook, 67, of Choctaw , passed away at Baptist
Medical Center Friday, May 11, 2007. She was born on June 20th,
1939 to Charles and Helen (Wien) Kennedy in Rineyville,
Kentucky. Joy married Orval Cook on May 24th, 1957 in Durant,
OK. She worked as a secretary for the Department of Education
for the State of Oklahoma and more than anything she loved
spending time with and taking care of her family. She also
enjoyed traveling, collecting spoons and pins. She is preceded
in death by her son; Keith Cook and her parents.
Joy is survived by one son, Orval, Jr. of Quinlan, TX; two
daughters, Vickie Harbison and husband Danny and Sherri Cook;
eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Billie Alice Stewart and her husband D.L. and many other
family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 14th,
2007 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment to follow
at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, OK.
