Oleda Martin Crowder, 77, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Whitefield, died Friday, 29 Jan. 1999 in Oklahoma City. 

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, 2 Jan. 1999 at the Whitefield Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommie Parker officiating. Burial followed at Mountain Home Cemetery near Whitefield under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home, Stigler. Pallbearers were grandsons, Rusty Barousse, Tim Wood, Robert Straugh, Stephen Parker, Ricky Ralgoza and Jeremy Rountree. Honorary pallbearers were Joshua Rountree, Justin Parker, Randy Babb and Kerry Rountree. 

Crowder was born 26 April 1921 to Herman H. and Myrtle (Higgins) Underwood. She was a member of the Whitefield Baptist Church and Eastern Star where she was worthy matron. She was also a member of Eager Beaver FCE and twice president of the Haskell County FCE. 

She is survived by eight daughters: Carolene and Jim Wood of Bartlesville; Nola Babb of Garland, TX; Kaye and Charles Barousse of Church Point, LA; Terry and Rick Ralgoza of Oklahoma City; Donna and Wyatt Straugh of Stigler; Emma Lee and Bob Johnson of Poteau; Shirley Hamilton of Clovis, CA; and Marie Coach of Fresno, CA; one son, John and Carol Crowder on Fresno, CA; two brothers, H.H. "Shorty" Underwood of Stigler, Gerald "Jake" Underwood of Muskogee; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two grandsons, and two husbands, W.A. Martin in 1979 and John Crowder in 1995.
