Lee (T.L.) Curren 1933 - 2009
Talmadge Lee (T.L.) Curren, departed this life on Thursday,
January 22, 2009. He was born on September 18, 1933 to Chester
Lee Curren and Alice Francis Brown in Oklahoma City. In August
1951, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving for three years.
He was married to Joan Rooks on September 13, 1952 in Oklahoma
City. Mr. Curren spent his career in civil service. He worked at
Tinker Air Force Base and the Federal Aviation Administration
until retirement in 1980. He and his family lived in Oklahoma
City until 1968, then in Tuttle until 1999 when they moved to
Muskogee . He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He
was a member of the First Baptist Church, Muskogee. T.L. was an
avid hunter and enjoyed square dancing, he also loved to travel
with Joan in their motor home.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home, daughters, Suzanne
Yeniscavich of Louisville, KY, Julie & husband Steve Grober
of Muskogee, Kathleen and husband, Garold Beisly of Broken Arrow
and Jennifer & husband, Harlan Gourdie of Broken Arrow one
sister, Geraldine & husband, Bruce Adkins of Oklahoma City 8
grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Mr. Curren was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church on
Monday, January 26, 2009 with Reverend Lance Sawyer officiating.
Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to the
American Cancer Society. The family has entrusted Bradley Family
Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
