Dixon, Samuel Myrl, 79, of OKC, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died Dec. 17, 1995, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born November 17, 1916, at Allison, Tx. to Samuel L. and Lula Hines Dixon. Samuel served in the Air Force during WWII. Following the war, he served as a civilian employee in the Quality Control Division of the Air Force. Much of his civilian career was spent at Tinker AFB, retiring after 30 years service in 1972, and subsequently worked in real estate. He was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Order.

Sam is survived by his wife of 52 years, Billie, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette & Don Billings of Portland Or., and Myrna & Phil St. George of Lucas, Tx.; grandchildren, Jacque, Doug, Janice, Jeneil & Julie of the Portland area, & Ina Michelle of Austin, Tx. He was the proud great-grandfather of 8. 

He is also survived by brother, Marvin Dixon, Canadian, Tx. and sisters, Rae Pace, Hillmar, Ca. & Wilda Cappelletti, Davis, Ca. Sam leaves a large and loving family and many loyal friends who will miss him dearly. 

He was preceded in death by 4 grandchildren. Sam was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Vondel Smith North Chapel
