Inna Faye "Granny" Conway Dixson died Sunday at her Shawnee home. She was 68.
She was born April 16, 1929, in Leonard, Texas, to General and Clara (Smith) Clayton. She married Walter Lee Conway in Butler, Okla., on Dec. 23, 1945. He preceded her in death.
She later married Floyce "Dick" Dixson on Nov. 19, 1969.
She had lived in Clinton and Oklahoma City before moving to Shawnee. Before retirement she was a health care provider for the Department of Human Services.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Dale Spencer, Custer City; Janet and Walter White, Dee Ann and Rick Fogle, all of Shawnee; Pat and Bob Henning, Midwest City; grandchildren, Rhonda and Brent Yarbrough, Custer City; Jana and Chris Moss, Weatherford; Charles and Patty Rucks, Fort Riley, Kan.; Chariety Roof, Clinton; three great-granddaughters; half brother, Wayne Johnston, Midwest City; half sister, Mary Spencer, Shawnee, and many other relatives.
Also preceding her in death were a son, James D. Conway, three brothers and her parents.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Living Word Church with the Rev. Clifton Briscoe officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
