War Veterans Attend Funeral of Dr. Easley
The funeral of Dr. R. B. Easley, who died Friday night, will take
place at 2:30 this afternoon at the residence, 311 West Twenty-fourth street.
Dr. Easley was a member of the G. A. R., a sergeant in the Illinois
infantry. He was one of the pioneer citizens of Oklahoma City and at one time
was a member of the city council. He was well known in the city, and was one
of its most prominent physicians.
The death of Dr. Easley is the second recorded among the members of the
Grant Camp No. 1 of G. A. R. in Oklahoma City within one week and four this
year. Commander A. W. C. Weeks has issued a call for a meeting of the camp
members for 1 o'clock this afternoon at headquarters, and the members of the
G. A. R. will attend the funeral of their fellow comrade in a body. Interment
will be at Fairlawn cemetery.
