Thomas Dugar Fausett, passed away May 21, 2001. He was born
February 20, 1923, at St Anthony Hospital, to Tom and Bertha
Fausett, in Oklahoma City. After graduation from Northeast High
School, he attended Freed-Hardeman Jr College in Henderson,
Tennessee and then went one year to Texas A&M before
entering the service in World War II, where he served as an
officer in the Army Air Corp for three and one half years. While
stationed at the air base in Alexandria, Louisiana, Tom met and
married Gayle Bozeman, on June 9, 1945. Returning to Oklahoma
City after the war. Gayle & Tom were blessed with two
beautiful daughters, Sherry Muchmore and Tina Durland. Tom was a
commercial artist and in advertising for 30 years and a home
builder for 15 years, a member of Westminster Presbyterian
Church, Quail Creek Golf & Country Club and many social and
civic clubs.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gayle; his
daughters, Sherry Fausett Muchmore and her husband, Tom of Ponca
City and Tina Fausett-Durland and her husband, Jack of New
Orleans, Louisiana; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Blaine Lewis and his
wife, Tisha, Laura Borlabi and her husband, Bernard, Autumn
McCall and Zachary McCall; and 8 great-grandchildren, Sydney,
Alexandria, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Taylor, Chase, Mason and
Rhiannon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your
favorite charity. Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday, May
24, 2001, at Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Chapel.
All in
attendance are welcome at the interment following at Rose Hill
Burial Park.
