Richard Felton's Rites to be Sunday

Rosary for Richard L. Felton, 29, of 5416 Brookhaven will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Kernke Funeral Chapel. Felton a driver for DeCoursey Milk Company died Friday in St. Anthony's Hospital of injuries received in a hunting accident 11 days ago.  Born in Oklahoma City, Felton attended grade school and St. Gregory's School, Shawnee.  He lived in Shawnee before going to California in 1941.  He returned to Oklahoma City in May. 

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Marie Felton, home address, 2 sons, Steven L. and Richard L. both of the home address and his parents Mr. & Mrs. M. L. Welsh, Shawnee.  Requiem Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Our Lady's.


Richard Felton, 29, Oklahoma City, died Friday at 11 a.m. in an Oklahoma City hospital from a gun shot wound received in a hunting mishap October 27.  He was the son of Mrs. M. L. Welsh 308 N. Park.  His wife is the former Marie Richards of Shawnee. Felton was injured in the left shoulder when a companion's gun went off while he was examining the safety catch.  They were squirrel hunting near Guthrie. 

Rosary 8:00 p.m. at Smith & Kernke, funeral at Our Ladies at 9:30 Monday with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.  He is survived by 2 sons Richard 5 and Steven 4.
