Charles K. Fitzgerald, (U.S.A.F.
Retired Captain) born October 11, 1919 in Durham, N.C., passed
away March 1, 1997 after a short illness.
He was married to Patricia
June Putnam for 37 years. Survived by sons Mark A. Fitzgerald of
Charlotte, N.C. and Donald Fitzgerald and wife Vicki of Arvada,
CO., two granddaughters Amber and Morgan; brother Rev. Bernard
Fitzgerald of Denver, N.C., sisters, Nancy Atkins of Myrtle
Beach, S.C. and Mildred Bassett of Knoxville, TN. After
distinguished service as a high altitude test pilot in the U.S.
Army Air Corps, he chose Oklahoma City as his home where he
worked for Governair Corp. for 20 years.
Memorial service will be
Tuesday, March 4, 1997 at Belle Isle Community Church where he
was a member, at 11:00 A.M. The family requests that in lieu of
flowers, donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
