October 15, 2008Mildred B. Whorton Ford, 81,
passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, in Oklahoma City, OK. She
was born on February 24, 1927, in Fairview, OK, to the late
Johnnie H. and Marie M. (Shook) Hall. Mildred was employed by
J.C. Penny for several years as a seamstress, where she touched
many of the lives of her co-workers and customers.
Preceded in death by her husband,
Joe Whorton in
1999, daughter, Betty Mills in 1996, four grandchildren and 3
brothers and 3 sisters.
Mildred is survived by her husband, Marvin Jack Ford; her
daughter, Shirley Stiles of OKC; sons, Gary Taylor of OKC,
Douglas Whorton & wife, Nancy of OKC, Rodney Whorton & wife,
Bonnie of Choctaw, Thomas Whorton & wife, Melinda of McLoud; and
daughter, Stacey Tabor & husband, Jack of OKC; 22 grandchildren,
30 great grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren; sisters and
brothers, Eva Carpenter, Milton Hall, Kenneth Hall, Flossie
Schroeder and Virgil Hall all of Oklahoma.
When she married Jack in 2006, she gained 3 children, 11
grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 9
am to 8 pm, Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at the Advantage Mid-Del
Chapel (formerly Paylor Funeral Home).
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at
the Ridgecrest Church of Christ, 500 N. Air Depot Blvd., MWC,
followed by burial at
Arlington Memory
Gardens in MWC.
