Nell Samara Gazelle of Oklahoma City was born October 18,
1913. She went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 4, 2003.
Nell was a charter member of the Bonne Heure Club for many
years, serving in all offices and committees. She was a lifelong
member of St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church where
she was a member of the Ladies Aid. Nell is remembered as a
dynamic Sunday school teacher who shared her knowledge of the
Bible and Orthodoxy with her students. Nell had a very
successful career in women's retail. She was a loving wife,
godmother, sister, and friend. She leaves with each of us a
living legend of a strong faith in God and deep love for family.
Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Gazelle
, her parents Saied and Amelia Samara, her sister Vickie Hamer
and her brother Ralph Samara.
Her survivors include her sister Dorothy Harroz, nephew Dr.
Edward Harroz, Jr. and her niece Diana Harroz Isbell. In lieu of
flowers, donations maybe made to the Flowers That Do Not Wither
Fund at St. Elijah. Officiating will be The Very Reverend
Constantine Nasr, Economos. Trisaigon service will be 7:00 p.m.
Sunday January 5, 2003 at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox
Christian Church. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday
January 6, 2003 at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian
Church. Interment to follow at
Fairlawn Cemetery. Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.
