Arrested At The Bier of His Dead Relative
With the dead body of their aunt, with whom they lived, lying in the
adjoining room, and their widowed mother expected on an afternoon train from
Bloomington, Ill. to attend the funeral services, Guy and John Gray were
arrested at 600 West Chickasaw, and an officer found in the dresser several
gold watches, diamond ring and other jewelry, which the youngest brother,
John, confesses to having stolen...
Both men came here from Bloomington, Ill., several months ago, making their
home with their uncle, James Gray, a lineman for the Pioneer Telephone
company...
Mrs. John Gray, mother of the accused boys, arrived later yesterday...

Mrs. Anna Gray Dies.
Mrs. Anna Gray, aged 37 years, died at her home 600 West Chickasaw
street Tuesday night after a lingering illness. Funeral arrangements are
awaiting the arrival of relatives from Carthage, Mo., and Bloomington, Ill.

Funeral Is Held
Funeral services were conducted over the body of Mrs. Anna Gray, 37
years old, who died at her home, 600 West Chickasaw street, Tuesday night, by
Rev. J. H. O. Smith, pastor of the First Christian church, at 3:30 o'clock
yesterday afternoon at the residence. Burial followed in Fairlawn cemetery.
