May 20, 1944Requiem for Edward Haley, '89er, was held
on May 23 when Mass was celebrated by Rev. Anthony Isenbart in
St. Joseph's Old Cathedral.
Burial under direction of Kernke, Smith and Mrs. Lydia T.
McAtee, was in Fairlawn.
Edward Haley, born May 20, 1857, in Montreal, was the son of
Andrew Haley and Catherine McDermott Haley, natives of Ireland.
He came to the United States when a young man with his brothers
John and William and lived in Kansas City before coming in 1889
to Oklahoma City. His parents joined him here and together with
them and his brothers and sisters, he took an active part in the
parish work of St. Joseph's.
Survivors are one sisters, Mrs. Mary Brousseau of 105 N.W.
16th and many nieces and nephews. Pall bearers were T. H.
Cassidy, H. M. Kanaly, John Eberle, J. J. Lilly, Mike Conners
and George Tighe.
