CLYDE M. "MICK" HERNDON, age 68, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away April 16, 2005. He was born July 29, 1936, in Wren, Mississippi, to Sidney Wells & Lillian Ethel (Bobo) Herndon. He married Mary Kennedy March 5, 1960, in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Mick retired in 1997 after many years of service as a manager with Yellow Freight. After retirement, he drove a bus for the Moore Public Schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moore. He enjoyed gardening but his first love was his family.

Mick is survived by his, wife, Mary of the home; 2 sons, Phil Herndon & wife Sheila; Scott Herndon; 1 daughter, Susan Gordon & husband Doug; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie & Luke Herndon; 1 brother, Sid Herndon & wife Sybil; 1 sister, Jo Howard & husband Leroy; many nieces & nephews & a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents & 3 sisters.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel. Interment to follow at Moore City Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday evening. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
