M. LaVon Herndon left this life to rejoin the Lord on March 19, 2006. LaVon was born June 9, 1917 in Valliant, Oklahoma. She retired from Fleming Foods after 38 years.

LaVon is survived by her sister, Peg Downey and her brother, Louis Easley, both of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mace Jr. "Doe" Herndon; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burl Easley; two sisters, Mable Neal and Emma Easley; and sister-in-law, Jean Easley. The family would like to thank South Park Healthcare Center, Unit 5 for the compassionate care provided for LaVon.

Herndon, LaVon, 88, died Sunday. Graveside services 3 pm today. Memorial Park Cemtery. Baggerly Funeral Home.
