Fannie Mae Hill
Funeral services for Fannie Mae Hill, 94, of Oklahoma City will be held Friday, Oct. 20, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel in Purcell with the Rev. Dale Kirkhuff officiating.
Interment will be at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service in Purcell.
Mrs. Hill died Oct. 16, 2006 at her home following a short battle with leukemia.
She was born Oct. 29, 1911 in Georgia, the daughter of John and Allie Cronon. She was reared and attended school in the Cleveland/McClain County area. Her family moved to Wanette where she continued to live until 1989 when she moved to Lexington.
In 1932 she married Albert Hill Jr. in Lawton. The Hills were ranchers and had a hay baling business. She continued ranching after her husband’s death in 1977.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; one son, Curtis; and four brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son, Homer Hill of Oklahoma City; one brother, Winifred Cronon and his wife, Wilma, of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Beulah Lindsey of Lawton; four grandsons; seven great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
