Winifred
Mae Hodges was born on October 8, 1915 in Phillipsburg, Kansas
to Amy and Eugene McIlvain. She died on January 22, 2009 in
Oklahoma City. Winifred married Wilmer G. Hodges on June 27,
1937. She was a homemaker prior to her husband's death. Winifred
was a house mother at Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Oklahoma State
University and at Kappa Sigma Fraternity, University of
Oklahoma. She also had a great interest in the game of golf.
Winifred is preceded in death by her husband and her brother
William McIlvain.
She is survived by her children Philip Lee Hodges of OKC, Joel
Scott Hodges of Dallas, TX, James C. Hodges and wife Susan of
OKC grandchildren Jennifer and Buddy Rotter of Farmers Branch,
TX, Heather Hodges of Dallas, TX, Christopher Hodges of San
Francisco, CA, Clay Hodges of Norman, OK and great granddaughter
Alex of Dallas, TX. The family would like to extend their
gratitude to Ethelyn Mills, Winifred's roommate at Manor Care.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24,
2009 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
