ESCONDIDO - Virginia Dare Holland, 79, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001.

Born July 15, 1922, in Kremlin, Okla., she lived in Escondido for 20 years. She retired in 1974 as the secretary and owner of Norwalk Auto Parts. She was a member of the Legion of Mary. She was a volunteer and visited the sick and helped the elderly with their shopping. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles and shopping.

Mrs. Holland is survived by her husband of 58 years, Tom Holland of Escondido; brothers and sisters-in-law Clark and Grace Estes of Oklahoma City and Jerry and Bonny Estes of Okemah, Okla.; and sisters Winona Lane of Carlsbad and Gertrude Mason of Gotebo, Okla.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am Friday, Nov. 23, at the Church of the Resurrection, 145 Conway Drive. Burial will follow at 1:15 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. in Riverside.

The family suggests memorial donations to the Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W. Crest St., Escondido, CA 92027.
