Randal
Eugene Holmes (56) passed at the family home on Sunday, January
11, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. after a brief illness. Randy was
surrounded by close family members at the time of his passing,
including his stepfather Wayne E. Simms of Del City. Randy was
born at McClellan Air Force Base, near Sacramento, California on
January 1, 1953 just after midnight, being the second child born
that year in California. This made Randy somewhat of a local
celebrity, culminating in an appearance on a local television
station in Sacramento a few days later.
Randy is survived by a brother Bill L. Holmes & wife Denni
Holmes of San Diego, California a sister Treela J. Phillips &
husband Johnny L. Phillips & a daughter Christy D. Rutledge,
both of Oklahoma City. Also, "Ran Ran" will be greatly missed
not only by his dog, Easy Money, by his niece Chealea A.
Phillips.
Randy was a born again Christian & is now in Heaven with Our
Lord & his mother Rita J. Simms.
In recent years, Randy worked as an apartment maintenance
technician & was highly skilled in many building construction
trades. The family would like to sincerely thank Interim Hospice
for all their care on a Godly level.
