James Allen Hyde Jr. age 29, died early Friday morning in a car accident. 

Jimmy was born on January 30, 1970 in Oklahoma City. He attended Heritage Hall School and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in journalism. He was an avid fan of OU football and a member of the Sooner Club. Jimmy loved music and his passion for music led him to be a music critic for the Oklahoma Gazette. Jimmy was employed with the Bentley Furniture Company. Jimmy's gifts to us were his marvelous sense of humor, his enjoyment of people and his love for his family. He will be deeply missed by many. 

He is survived by his mother, Mollie Chrisman and her husband, Gary; his father, James A. Hyde, Sr. and his wife, Laurie; his sister, Laurie Moeller and her husband, John. His siblings include, Caroline Chrisman, Conner Chrisman, Margot Tebbe, Jimmy McCann, and Gary, Laura, Michael, and Michelle Chrisman. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Quillian; his aunts, Sally Quillian, Helen Schille and his uncle, Jay Quillian and wife, Barbara. 

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 7, at 11:00 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the OU Locker Sponsorship Program, c/o Lee Allen Smith, Oklahoma Event, Inc., 1601 NW Expressway, Suite 2210, Oklahoma City, OK 73118, where a locker will be named in Jimmy's memory.
