Donald E. “Johnny” Johnson went home April 17,
2006. He was born Aug. 9, 1935 in Wamego, Kan. to Harry and
Dossie Johnson. He served in Vietnam and the Korean War. Donald
retired after serving 23 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was
very active in the Choctaw Lions Club until his health prevented
him from helping others. Donald always wanted to help others and
he volunteered where-ever or when-ever he was needed. After
retiring from the USAF, he started his own business, Automatic
Fire Control retiring in 1989. He loved to work and had worked
for Petroleum Instruments for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife,
Janet Aleen (Tidwell) Johnson.
Donald is survived by his children, Jeff (Debra)
Johnson of Napels, Fla., Janet (Mark) Einbecker of Lexington,
Ky., Greg (Donna) Johnson of Broken Arrow, Richard (Gina)
Johnson of Oklahoma City, Lori Johnson of Midwest City and Lisa
Johnson; nine grandchildren, Ron, Kristy, Alexandra, Nicholas,
Christopher, Laci, Levi, Ryan and Emileigh; and one
great-granddaughter, Kara. Donald has two brothers, Vernon
(Sharon) Johnson of Wamego, Kan. and Bob (Gail) Johnson of Alex;
one sister, Lois (Bill) Cook of Wamego, Kan.; two
brother-in-laws: Kenneth “Mac” (Beverly) McReynolds of
Meeker and Terry (Joetta) Tidwell of Moore; and many nieces and
nephews. He always welcomed everyone into his life and he was
loved as “Grandpa” by many.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2006 at
Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Arlington
Memory Gardens.

Janet Aleen Johnson, age 57, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 9, 1995. She and her twin, James Allen Tidwell, were born April 27, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Olive Wilson Tidwell, & 2 brothers, Robert & James Allen Tidwell. She was a Christian since a teenager and a member of the Baptist Church. She lived and died for others. Janet married Donald E. Johnson in 1956 and 5 children were born to this union.
She is survived by 3 sons, Donald Jefferey & wife, Debbie of Fort Myers, Fl., Duane Gregory & wife, Donna of Broken Arrow, Ok., Richard Lee & wife, Lisa of Moore, Ok.; 2 daughters, Janet Derington & fiance Mark Einbecker of Lexington, Ky. and Lori Johnson of the home; 6 grandchildren; a sister,
Shirley McReynolds & husband Kenneth; a brother, Terry E. Tidwell & wife Joetta of OKC; and nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Janet attended Crooked Oak School for 12 years and was an honor student. She was Class Representative for her Class of 1956 for the last 8 reunions . She worked at Midwest City Hospital with Reach to Recovery for many years. She was a charter member of the Choctaw Lioness Club and served as its president one year. She was loved by all who knew her. Our "Nee Nee" is in Heaven rejoicing with loved ones.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Eisenhour S.E. Chapel in Del City, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Ada. Interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
