Dorothy Louise Jones, 82, of Possum Kingdom Lake died
recently in Wichita Falls. Services are pending. Arrangements
are being handled by Lunn’s Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
Mrs. Jones was born in Oklahoma City on May 18, 1925, to
Charles T. and Cleo (Simmons) Stewart. She had worked 18 years
at Factory Outlet in Wichita Falls, five years at Malcom’s Boot
Store, almost 10 years at Sears Roebuck and retired in 1970 to
live at PK Lake permanently.
She had owned a residence at the lake since 1967 and owned Sam’s
Place Boat and Mini Storage and Water System at PK. She also
owned a restaurant and Tavern at PK. She belonged to the Ladies
Auxiliary (Navy). Mrs. Jones was a Baptist and lived most of her
life in this area.
Survivors include one son, Clint Pruitt and wife Linda of
Wichita Falls: one sister, Marlene Reynolds of Byers, Texas; two
brothers, Thurman Stewart and wife Joyce of Wichita Falls; two
grandsons, Chance Lee and Price Wade Pruitt; and one
great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Pruitt. Memorials may be made to
Charlie’s Angels at Possum Kingdom Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jessie
Jones, on Sept. 9, 1995.
