Zachary Austin 'Zach' Keel

CHOCTAW -- Funeral for Zachary Austin "Zach" Keel, 18, was Friday at Choctaw High School. Interment followed at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.

Born Aug. 3, 1983, to Danny and Brenda York Keel in Oklahoma City, he died May 21, 2002. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Freeman Keel.

A member of the Choctaw First Baptist Church, Keel had been the announcer for Choctaw High School baseball for four years. He had been voted Mr. Choctaw Junior High during his freshman year of school and Most Spirited at Choctaw High School during his senior year.

Survivors include his father, Bacliff, Texas; his mother, Choctaw; a sister, Crystal Thompson, Midwest City; grandparents, Hilda Keel, Tishomingo, and Don and Jane York, Choctaw.

Memorial contributions can be made to Zach Keel Memorial Fund, Park State Bank, P.O. Box 216, Nicoma Park, OK 73066.

Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Homes Inc.
