Gus Ketchum was born on Sunday, March 21, 1897, in Royse City, Texas. Ketchum was 25 years old when he broke into the big leagues on August 7, 1922, with the Philadelphia Athletics. His final game was September 28, 1922. He died September 5, 1980, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was an auto salesman.
