Dorothy Ann Holt Knight
When a Stone is dropped into a lake it quickly disappears from sight, but its impact leaves behind a series of ripples that broaden and reach across the water. In the same way the impact of one life lived will leave behind an influence for good that will reach the lives of many others for generations. We love you Granny, your beloved family. Dorothy Ann Holt Knight, Sept. 3, 1937 to Aug. 10, 2004. She was born the daughter of Dorothy Wilcoxson and her father Lloyd Ed Waxler and is greeted in heaven by both parents as well as her brothers Billy Waxler and Emmett Papin Jr.
She gracefully left behind her companion of 22 years, Gary Knight and sisters Patty and Jim Burwell of Moore, OK, Judy and Charles Dockery of Choctaw, OK, Doris and Ronnie Suville of Oklahoma City, OK, her brothers Sonny Papin of Oklahoma City, OK and Bobby and Nancy Papin of Las Vegas, NV. Additionally, her daughters Charlotte and George Tedford of Moore, OK, Tammy and Johnny Johnson of Blanchard, OK, Trilbia and Travis Tomlinson of Yukon, OK, Debra Owen and partner Jack White of Wellston, OK and Jamie and Huey Thompson. Grandchildren, Jackie White Jr., Shandy Roof, Misty White, Traci Owens, Kellie Whitefield, Keri Ortega, George Tedford Jr., Sandra Tedford, Daniel McKim, Shala Johnson, Tela Tedford, Breanna Johnson, Callie and Caitlin Tomlinson. Great Grandchildren: Kayla White, Natalie Owens, Jonathan Long, Arion Roof, Christian Gouda, Emily, Sarah, and Haley White, Madison Owens, Gavin McKim, Jaden, James and Jeremiah Whitefield.
There are a million memories, mostly funny as she was a woman of amazing character and wit. She made sure that every holiday was spent with all of us, even if it "hair-liped the governor" to put it in her own words. She and her sister Judy so enjoyed hand making crafts and gifts for the family during these times. We have learned the value, grace, compassion and love beyond condition that even in our time of sorrow we will carry with us today, tomorrow and for the rest of our earthbound time. She will be dearly missed by the lives she touched. We are grateful for these lessons and the amazing family this one woman created. May God bless and keep you, our angel.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2004 2:00pm at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home located at 8805 N.E. 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
