 John W. Krivanek, 75 year-old retired farmer, and '89er,
                and a native of Bohemia, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at his
                home, 713 Southwest Twenty-fourth street. Krivanek was born Sept 5, 1866. He came to the United States
                with his parents when he was 14 years old and the family settled
                in Schuyler, Neb. In 1889, Krivanek homesteaded near Mustang and
                lived there until 1931 when he moved to Oklahoma City. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Josephine Krivanek. The
                couple celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversay recently. Also
                surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Novak, Wheatland; Mrs
                Tillie Stejskal, Yukon, and Mrs Edith Veneck, Mustang; four
                sons, Louis and Victor, both of the city; Ernest, Mustand and
                Clarence, Yukon; his mother Mrs. Josephine Krivanek, city; a
                brother Frank, city; four sisters, Mrs. Emil Drabek, Mrs. Mary
                Tenant and Mrs. Frances Van__, all of the city and Mrs. Sadie
                Dolezal, Perry, and 14 grandchildren and one great-granchild. Mass will be at 10 am Friday at the Sacred Heart Church.
                Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery southwest of the city
                with the Guardian funeral home in charge.
