Ruth Harrison Lambert, 95, left this life on February 21st, 2006. Services will be a Rosary on Friday, February 24th, at 8:00 PM and a Mass celebrating her life on Saturday, February 25th, at 10:30 AM. Both services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church located at Sixth and West Streets in Stillwater. Rev. Ken Harder and Rev. Stephen Austin will be concelebrants. She was born to Charles Arthur Harrison and Elizabeth Chrystal Harrison in Goodnight, Oklahoma, on July 6, 1910. She graduated from Stillwater High School and attended Oklahoma A&M College in 1928 where she was a Chi Omega. There she met and fell in love with Clarence Lambert. They were married on August 14, 1931 in her family home in Goodnight, Oklahoma. During the Depression years, they lived in Oklahoma City. In 1939, the couple moved to Stillwater where her husband, Clarence Lambert, founded Lambert Construction Company. Ruth was an active member of St. Francis Altar Society, Chi Omega Corporation Board, and RAR. In the 1980s and 1990s, she and Clarence traveled the world with trips to Europe, the Orient, Australia, Alaska, and Hawaii. 

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Dale Zellers of Bartlesville; her parents; her in-laws, William and Otillie Lambert; brothers, C.A. Harrison of Midwest City and Robert Harrison of Fairview. 

She is survived and will be missed by her children, Bill and his wife Dolores of Stillwater, Carolyn Buser and her husband Dick of Oklahoma City, David and his wife Phyllis of Stillwater, Mary Elizabeth McCoy and her husband Pat of Starkville, MS, Mike and his wife Lisa, Bob and his wife Kathy of Stillwater, Rick and his friend Bob Vancorbach of Norman. She was grandma to 30 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the OSU Foundation-Clarence Lambert Scholarship Fund. Visitation will be held at Strode Funeral Home until 6 P.M. Friday.
