OBITUARY
Robert Lax, who was until the last few weeks a familiar figure at
police headquarters, died Thursday of a severe hemmorage [hemorrhage],
resulting from a prolonged case of tuberculosis. He lived at 708 East Tenth
street. He was a guard in the city jail.
Miss Eva Blickenstaff, a primary teacher at the Jefferson school,
died Monday morning at St. Anthony's hospital, as the result of a shock
attendant with an operation which was performed Saturday. Arrangements for the
funeral will follow the receipt of advice from her parents, who live on a
ranch near Solano, N.M. The deceased lived with her sister at 107 West
Eleventh street.
