OBITUARY

LOVETT - Rev. J. J. Lovett died Saturday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mr. F. H. Athwell, of 714 East Tenth street. The body was taken to Muskogee last night and the funeral will be held in that city at 4 o'clock this afternoon. Death was due to Bright's disease and the deceased had been sick for some months. For many years the Rev. Lovett was a prominent minister in the South Methodist church, having been pastor in this city some years ago, and later was editor of the church paper for Oklahoma and Indian Territory. After having been a member of this conference for fifteen years he was transferred to a Missouri conference, which he served until February of this year, when he came to this city to live with his daughter.
