Mrs. W. H. Mann, 67 years old, a pioneer of Oklahoma, died at
Marshalltown, Iowa, last Sunday following a brief illness. She
lived here until two years ago. She has a brother in Perry,
Okla. The funeral will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at
the First Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Riley.

Mann Funeral Today
The funeral of Mrs. Mary L. Mann, one of the old settlers of
Oklahoma county will take place at Marshall & Harper
undertaking parlors in North Broadway, near Ninth street, at
10:30 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Mann died at Marshalltown,
Iowa, September 24, of paralysis, having been born in New York
sixty-three years ago. She leaves surviving her three children,
Mrs. Bessie Haug of Marshalltown, Ned C. Mann, testing engineer
with the United Railway company of St. Louis, and Miss Alice
Mann of the Epworth university class of 1910, who resides in
this city.
Mr. and Mrs. Mann came to Oklahoma City in March. Mrs. Mann
was a director of the old country schoolhouse at Western avenue
and Twenty-third street at the time it was replaced by the first
section of the Jefferson school at that location. She was
prominent in local church work, having been a regular attendant
at the First M. E. church from the time the old frame church at
Ninth street and Robinson avenue, was established.
