Bruce Frederick McGuigan went to Heaven to join his beloved wife Bonnie at 9:59 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2009. Bruce died in his room at Bellevue Center, where he and Bonnie had lived for the last few years.

Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Smith-Kernke Funeral Home, 1401 NW 23. Friends who wish to pay their respects may call at Smith & Kernke from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. An Evening Prayer Service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located at the corner of N. Western Avenue and N.W. 32nd Street, on Monday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, February 24, a luncheon for family and friends will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Connor Center at Our Lady's. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in the Cathedral.

Bruce's mortal remains will then be buried next to Bonnie's at Resurrection Cemetery, 7800 Northwest Expressway. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to their first parish home in Oklahoma City, Holy Angels Building Fund, 317 N. Blackwelder, Oklahoma City, OK 73106-5213, or to the parish school at Our Lady's Cathedral
