Jack L. McMahan , 78, of Irvine, California, passed away September 11, 2002. He was born July 24, 1924 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Raymon McMahan and Mameye Bryant. He grew up in Paliacios, Texas where he was graduated from high school in 1942. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and in 1945 received an honorable discharge.

He then moved to Oklahoma City where he met Betty Bau and they were married November 8, 1947. Throughout their marriage they lived in Texas and California. They have resided in Irvine, CA for the past 31 years.

Jack is survived by his wife Betty McMahan; son Mark David McMahan and his wife Kathleen of Costa Mesa, CA; grandchildren Danielle and David Matthew McMahan of Costa Mesa, CA; sister Carol McMahan Shultz of Houston, TX; nephew Karl and niece Karen both of the Houston area and cousins James McMahan and Elwood McMahan both of Chickasha, OK. Graveside services will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at Fairlawn Cemetery, OKC, OK.
