McPHEETERS

The services for Bonnie Bercilla (Garrett) McPheeters, 89, of Enid, was October 4, 2006. Beloved mother and sister, Bonnie was born on September 14, 1917 in Randlett, OK to Rollins Lee Garrett and Hallie Bohannon and passed into the arms of Jesus on October 1, 2006. Bonnie grew up during the depression and lived through the Dust Bowl. Her father and mother farmed and later owned a business in the Three Sands area near Tonkawa. She was a photographer for Marquis Studios, and later she worked with her mother at Pillsbury Mills. She retired from Evans Drug in 1978 where she won many awards for her candy displays. She loved to read, created and published crochet patterns, entered and won jingle writing sweepstakes and in her later years when her eyesight was failing, she was an accomplished and published poet. She was also a cosmetologist for twenty years in OKC and Enid. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (McPheeters) Pralle of Midwest City; brother, Clay E. Garrett and wife, Joan (McNutt) of Yukon; grandsons, Erik Pralle also of Midwest City and Brett Pralle of Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by nephew, Steve Garrett of Edmond and husbands, Cam Kammerzell and Earl Leroy McPheeters, of Okeene.
