Jones. OK. Service to his country spanned seven years as a Radio
Operator. US Air Force. Retiring 1989, Tinker AFB, completed
thirty years federal service. Single into his thirties. Robert
said God's plan for a helpmate began upon marrying Linda
Standifer, Valentine's Day 1967. Their fulfilling marriage of
nearly 34 years was blessed with the pride and joy of his life,
their two daughters. His hobby and love was his garden and his
yard, which he groomed to the point of perfection. Robert
overproduced his garden to share the bounty with others. Robert
said, he had a wonderful family life, he looked forward to
morning coffee and chit-chat with his wife on the porch, walks
in the yard, good food and family around the table. Visiting his
daughters homes, and hooking his grandson's wagon to the back of
the riding lawnmower and pulling him around the acreage, brought
much joy to his life. Among numerous interests, he most enjoyed
reading the newspaper, keeping up with economics and politics,
delivering meals to shut-ins, golfing, and fishing. Robert took
his faith and salvation seriously, his church membership was of
great importance, especially enjoying the fellowship of his
men's Sunday School class. His Bible, by his chair, was
faithfully read; and with a tender heart, he prayed. He was a
loving husband, father, Papaw, brother, and friend.
He leaves here to join him later, as promised in the Word,
his best friend and devoted wife Linda, two cherished daughters,
