Madalee Sarah Maddux Mooney, 89, left her life on February 4, 2009 in Oklahoma City to be with her Lord surrounded by her loving family. Madalee was born on May 20, 1919 in Swink, Oklahoma to Mike and Birttie Maddux. She was a retired baker who worked along with her husband Tilford at the O'Mealeys Cafeteria. Madalee and Tilford moved to Oklahoma City from McCurtain County, Oklahoma in January of 1946. Together they lived a very happy and love filled life for over forty years. They were members of Wilmont Place Baptist Church.

Madalee was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Lennie Jacobs and second husband Tilford Mooney, daughter-in-law Melba Graham Jacobs, six brothers and three sisters.

Madalee is survived by son, C. Dean Jacobs of Nederland, Texas; daughters, Shirley Jacobs Webber and her husband Jerry of Norman and Paulette Mooney Minshall and her husband Ron of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Ida Bell Browning of Valliant, Oklahoma and Ima Jean Plunkett of Ft. Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and an abundance of loving nieces and nephews. Madalee was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who lived her life sharing love and hospitality to all. There was never a closed door or an empty plate in her home. Over the years Madalee and Tilford opened their home to their many nieces and nephews. The love that she showed her children, nieces, and nephews throughout their lives will live on forever as they share that love with their children and grandchildren. The legacy of her kindness will always be remembered by many. We will miss you dear Mother but we know that you will be waiting for each of us when it's our time to pass. We can just imagine you taking long walks in the beautiful gardens of Heaven with your little Mollie. The family would like to thank the staff of Grace Living Center in Norman and Oklahoma City on NW 10th that have shown such kindness and gentleness and Good Shepherd Hospice for the love and attention that they have shown to our Mother. Our lives have been blessed by each of you in your own special way. We will remember you always. Viewing will be from 5:00-8:00 PM today at the funeral home.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Vondel Smith & Sons South Lakes Chapel with interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens in the Garden of Memories
