MOORE Charlie, age 69, was born in Chelsea, Ok, September 4, 1923 to Frances Rogers and Joseph Garland Moore. He passed away January 23, 1993 in Okla. City. Charlie served 4 years in the Air Force during WW II.
He graduated from Central High School after receiving his discharge from the Air Force. He was first employed in the wholesale florist profession in 1938. He resumed this profession after his discharge from the Air Force. He was a partner for 20 years and then
sole owner of Mistletoe Wholesale Florist for 10 years. He was then joined by his son, Kelley, in business in 1981. Charlie served one year as President of the Greater Okla. City Florist Assoc. and two terms as a Director 1 on the Board of the Okla. State Florists Assoc. He was a member and Deacon at the Village Christian Church, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel Price Moore; sister, Jeanne Moore and brother, Garland Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Verda of the home; two sons, Kelley and Jerry Moore both of Okla. City; and four grandchildren, Michell Cohn, Tami Chrisman, Roger and Garland Moore.
Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, January 26, in the North Colonial Chapel of Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, followed by interment in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum.
