Mary Elizabeth Baker, died February 12, 1996, born in Sherman,
Texas August 28, 1895. Mary was the daughter of Zadoc Pratt
Dederick and Flora Bernard. Mrs. Baker was married to Michael A.
Luby , December 5, 1915 and came to Oklahoma City in 1917. Mrs.
Baker was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael A.
Luby , her daughter, Gladys Hembree, son, Michael Luby , and her
second husband, Harry C. Baker. Mrs. Baker is survived by her
sister, Magdeline Carpenter of Lubbock, Tx.; daughter and
son-in-law , Marjorie and John B. Noble of Oklahoma City; her
daughter-in-law, Beverly Luby of McKinney, Tx.; son-in-law, Dan
Hembree of Margate, N.J.; 13 grandchildren, 35 great
grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. The gift of life
she gave to her famil y, the love and traditions she passed on
to all of us will hold her in our memories for eternity. God's
speed Maida. Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14,
1996, at Christ the King Catholic Church, with interment in
Fairlawn Cemetery.
