NORRELL, Roy L., 70, died Tuesday. Services 11 a.m. Friday,
Newalla First Baptist Church (Asa Smith Funeral Home ).

"Roy L. Norrell
Funeral services for Mr. Norrell, 70, Harrah, was September 30
at the First Baptist Church of Newalla. Rev. Bob Willis
officiated.
Mr. Norrell was born December 31, 1923, in Howland, Texas, and
died in Midwest City September 27, 1994. He had resided in
Harrah since 1970, moving from Del City. He was a retired Tinker
Air Force Base mechanic and a member of the First Baptist
Church, Newalla.
He is survived by his wife, Julia; one daughter, Sharon Shelton
of Frisco, Texas; two brothers, Fred of Verden and Marvin of
Faxon; four sisters, Dorothy Schrick of Lawton, Norman Jean
Brumley of Rush Springs, Bernice Cozart of Maybank, Texas, and
Peggy Waltman of Elgin; two grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
Burial was in the Dale Cemetery

Julia A. Norrel was born on January 16, 1926 in Roosevelt,
Oklahoma and departed this life in Oklahoma City on May 28, 2004
at the age of 78.
She was the daughter of Bruce & Della (Schrader) Russell.
She was a resident of Harrah and a member of the First Baptist
Church of Newalla. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy L.
Norrell in 1994, one brother, H. D. Russell and one sister, Lee
Nell Weaver.
Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Sharon & Tony
Shelton of Springfield, MO; One sister, Janet Baber, Harrah; two
grandchildren, Bubba Shelton and Kim Shelton; Six
great-grandchildren, Ryan Trail, Bret Trail, Niki Shelton, Seth
Shelton, Ty Shelton and Dakot Duffield.
