Fabian NOVAK
Rosary for Fabian Novak, 78, Route 12, will be at 7 pm, Friday
in the Smith & Kernke Funeral Chapel. Requiem mass will be
at 9 am Saturday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Mishak Cemetery south of Oklahoma City.
Novak, a farmer here since 1906, died Wednesday in a local rest
home. Born in Bruno, Czechoslovakia, he came to the United
States in 1902. He was a member of Catholic Workman.
Surviving are the wife, Anna, Watsonville, Calif., a
daughter, Mrs. Anna Sonderegger, 3737 Trellis Dr.; three sons,
Joseph, 2900 S. Goff, Nicholas, Chicago, and Jacob, Richmond,
Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Hedricka Lanum, and Mrs. Annie
Nekvapil, both of Route 12.
[Note: Fabian Novak came to American in 1904 and was
naturalized in 1910. His parents were Jacob and Mary Novak, both
are buried in Saint
Martin's Cemetery.]
[NOTE: Mishak, is now known as Midwest City. St Martins
Cemetery is located .01 mile west of South Douglas on S.E. 74th and
has approximately 100 graves.
