Novak, Leonard, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away Aug. 10, 1998. He was born Oct. 24, 1917 in Moore, Ok to Fred and Josephine Novak. Leonard was a graduate of Newcastle H.S. and a former resident of Tuttle until 1998, when he moved to OKC. He was a mechanic in the Army Air Corp and WWII veteran. He was self-employed as a painting contractor, retiring in 1979. Leonard attended Southern Hills Baptist Church and was a former member of Central Hillcrest Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was known to have a "green thumb", always gardening and keeping his yard beautiful.

Proceeded in death by his first wife, Jennie Belle Novak, Nov. 16, 1984.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie, of the home; daughters & their husbands, Nan & Harold Kilby & Jan & Dave Nelson of Tuttle; step-sons & their wives, Carl & Terry of Edmond, Johnny & Marsha of Guthrie, Jimmy & Lori of Moore & Donny & Cinde of Graton, CT; sisters, Mary Stoddard of Ft. Worth, TX & Tillie Steeds of OKC; 16 grand children; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10:00 am Fri. Aug. 14 1998, at the South Colonial Chapel, Burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gradens. VONDEL L. SMITH & SON FUNERAL HOME.
