Roy S. and Loydene Owen of Oklahoma City will celebrate their 50th anniversary from 2 to 4.30 pm Saturday at Our Lord's Community Church,11400 N Portland. The couple married July 20, 1940, in Oklahoma City.

Their children and children's spouses are John and Linda Neaves of Little Rock, Ark. and Michael and Donna Simonson of Tulsa. The couple has five grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Mr. Owen is a retired accountant. Mrs. Owen is a homemaker.

Column: Obituaries

Roy Smith "R.S." Owen, age 94, of Little Rock, formerly Oklahoma City, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2004 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He died at home in the presence of his wife and granddaughter. He was born February 20, 1910 in Grandfield Oklahoma, the son of Herbert and Ona Owen. He was an accountant with Mid Continent Life for 40 years. He was a member of Our Lord's Community Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Loydene Owen; two daughters, Linda Neaves of Little Rock, Arkansas and Donna Simonson and her husband, Mike of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, David Neaves, Heather Richardson, Stacey Rogers, Todd Simonson and Jessica Brogdon; and five great grandchildren, Christopher and Katie Neaves, Nicholas Richardson, and Camryn and Jade Rogers. 

Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM , Tuesday, March 23, at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 5016619111. Reverend David Bruns and Reverend R. Gayle Bone officiated. Burial followed at Pinecrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12th Street Little Rock, Arkansas or Our Lord's Community Church.
