OWENS Mark Louis, born Dec. 28, 1953, passed away Jan. 11, 1999. Mark was a lifetime resident of the Choctaw area. He was also a resident of Fittstown for a short time. He was a well-respected lineman for OG&E for years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mark was a cowboy. He loved to train horses & work cattle. He especially enjoyed loading up all the kids & going on overnight camping trips with the horses. He always had a colt to ride. Those who knew & loved him will miss his outspoken, fun loving nature. He was a grandfather, father, brother & friend to many.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Ann.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Brent and wife, Candace; grandson, Dylan; father, Marvin; mother, Sue; 3 brothers, Mike Owens, Dennis Owens & wife, Carrie, Donald Owens & wife, Tiffany; 4 sisters, Dawnett Taylor & husband, Mel, Debby Anderson & husband, Dave, Barbara Watson & husband, Jay & Gretchen McKee & husband, Tony; 8 nephews, 9 nieces & many more family & friends.
Services will be 11:00 am, Fri., at First Baptist Church of Newalla, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw.
