Paine was born March 5, 1920, to William Henry Benne Sr. and Katie May (Bowers) Benne in Oklahoma City, where she was raised.

She spent many times sharing with family and friends about her fond memories of the family getting together in the home to enjoy the country and western music being played by her father and other members of her family.

She was a homemaker and a very talented seamstress.

For many years, she sewed for her family and her extended family and for interior decorators in the Oklahoma City area. She made many garments, bedspreads, draperies, quilts and other items.

She also enjoyed cooking and getting together with family for holidays and special occasions. Down through the years, she also enjoyed helping others when she could.

After the death of her husband, Robert, she worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 14 years, retiring in July 1982.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert, in 1967; three brothers; one sister; and a very dear friend, Kay Marsh.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond and his wife Kathy of Guthrie, David and his wife Faye of Stillwater and Derrell and his wife Pat of Choctaw; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
