Marvin Norris Pasternak, 84, of Midwest City, OK, died on
Monday, March 2, 2009, at Integris Baptist Medical Center. He
was born April 29, 1924 to John Joseph Pasternak and Edna Bell
Fink in Detroit, Michigan. He married Betty Jean Fischer on
September 8, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. To this union they
had one daughter, Margaret Ann. Marvin served in the Army Air
Corp and then worked as a partsman for Ford Motor Dealerships
until he retired in 2001.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and
Randy Posey; granddogs, Brandi and Maddie Belle of the home; one
brother, Clarkson, Mich.; one sister, Casper, Wyo.; and many
loving nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his parents and
one sister. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart
Society or American Lung Association of Oklahoma. Family will
receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday at Ford Funeral
Service.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at
Arlington Memory
Gardens under the direction of Ford Funeral Service.
