Richard
Alan Pennanen, 72, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 from
cardiac arrest. Born in St. Louis, Mo., on 16 August 1936 to
Ross J. and Leona E. (Harris) Pennanen. He graduated from
Cherryville, Missouri and enlisted in the Air Force at age 19
serving in Germany, Alaska, Colorado and on Tinker Air Force
Base. He married Erma J. Forman in 1958 and had two children;
daughter, Janet Lea and son, Ross Alan. His current marriage was
with Linda Gayle (O'Bleness) Pennanen. They were loving partners
and best friends for 23 years. Linda's two children; Brent and
Lisa, both looked up to Richard as their dad. Richard was
preceded in death by his son, Ross, and his parents. Richard is
survived by his wife; Linda, of the home, daughter; Janet
Pennanen; step-sons, Mitchell and Corbett Watts; son, Brent
Shreck and daughter Lisa (Adam) Saldivar and her children; Jenna
Saldivar, Alec Saldivar and Dennise (Albert) Lucio and her
children; Jesse Pena, Albert Lucio Jr. and Jayden Lucio. Richard
had a 41 year history of Federal Civil Service, mostly at Tinker
Air Force Base. His last post was an Equipment Specialist with
the B-1. Richard and Linda made many memories as were active
members of Brothers of the Third Wheel and Independent Trikers
group. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Candlewood
Chapel under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Burial will
follow at Carney Cemetery, Carney, Okla., on highway 177. A
reception followed.
PGR [Patriot Guard Riders] has asked the Patriot
Guard to form a
flag line at his services and escort him to his
final resting place after the Service in
Del City.
